Straight talk on how listings work on this site, what we do and don't handle, and how to protect yourself like you would anywhere in this hobby.
On Wax Rips hosts listings and razzes from vetted sellers. We don't process payments, hold funds, or handle shipping — buyer and seller connect directly and work out the deal themselves, same as you would in any hobby group. Vetting means we know who's behind the listing; it doesn't mean we guarantee any individual transaction.
Every seller on this site either came in through our small trusted starter group or applied and was reviewed before getting posting access. That review looks at things like their standing in the hobby community and whether someone can vouch for them. It's a real screen, not a rubber stamp — but it's not a substitute for your own judgment on any individual deal.
Reach out to us directly and let us know what happened. Sellers who scam buyers lose posting access — that's the one enforcement lever we have, and we use it. We can't get your money back for you, but we can make sure they don't get another shot at doing it to someone else here.
On Wax Rips is a place to host listings, razzes, and community activity — it is not a party to any transaction that happens between buyers and sellers here. We don't process payments, hold funds, verify identities beyond what's described on this page, guarantee any listing's accuracy, or guarantee any individual outcome. Every transaction is between the buyer and seller directly, and each person is responsible for protecting themselves the way they would in any peer-to-peer transaction.
We take scams and fake accounts seriously, and we mean that — vetting, access codes, and posting-access revocation all exist because we actively care about this being a place people can trust. If something goes wrong, tell us, and we will genuinely try to help make it right and keep the same person from doing it again here.
